The pavilion catches the eye, but Eram becomes more interesting when you read the garden around it. Ordered axes and water channels organise the space; tall cypresses establish its scale, while varied planting rewards closer attention. The three-storey Qajar pavilion adds a columned veranda and figural tiles to this interplay of architecture and vegetation. Moving between the broad layout and individual details helps explain the Persian garden as a designed relationship between water, plants and buildings. Eram belongs to UNESCO’s Persian Garden property, a context that gives the leisurely walk another dimension.
