Dena National Park
Kohgiluyeh & Boyer-Ahmad · IRAN DIGITAL WALL

Dena forms the province’s natural backbone, but its peaks are only part of the reason to look closely. Deep valleys, oak woodland and abundant springs sit across a range of elevations, creating varied habitats for Zagros plants and wildlife. Routes around Sisakht provide opportunities for responsible hiking and observation of those differences. Pay attention to plant cover and the relationship between slopes and valleys rather than expecting a particular animal sighting. The journey’s value lies in understanding how height, water and vegetation combine to shape this mountain environment.
