Chamalan Waterfall
Ilam · IRAN DIGITAL WALL
Chamalan is a seasonal waterfall, so its appeal comes from the relationship between the water and the mountains around it. Spring generally brings a stronger flow down rocky slopes, with oak woodland and open Zagros valleys forming the setting. Water volume should never be treated as fixed. Follow its course visually from the stone into the surrounding vegetation, then take in the broader valley. The visit provides a small-scale view of Ilam’s mountain country, where rock surfaces, trees and changing seasonal water belong to the same scene.
