Inside Ali Sadr, the horizon gives way to ceilings, water and enclosing stone. This extensive navigable cave combines boat travel with walking through limestone lakes and passages. Stalactites draw the eye upwards, while their reflections invite a second look at the clear water below. The interest lies in that relationship between the solid cave and its watery image, as well as the change in perspective between moving on foot and by boat. Rather than relying on a claim to a world record, the visit can be appreciated through the scale and character of the interior itself.
