Khomein Historic House

This family house compound in Khomein is associated with the birthplace of Ruhollah Khomeini, the first leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It contains three large houses, a smaller house and a watchtower. The main entrance lies on the northern side of the compound. The surrounding residential quarter also preserves older houses.
