The mirrored hall is the natural focus at Mofakham, but it belongs to a wider decorative ensemble. The two-storey Qajar building combines tilework and stucco with geometric and floral motifs and finely crafted wooden doors. Looking between these materials reveals how the interior’s effect is assembled, rather than treating the mirrors as a separate spectacle. The house now presents part of the region’s documentary and manuscript heritage, adding a different scale of detail to the visit. Architecture and written records together make this a useful introduction to North Khorasan’s urban cultural life.
