Aminiha brings the attention down from Qazvin’s public monuments to the scale of a family home. Its connected Qajar halls open towards private courtyards, while coloured orosi windows filter the relationship between interior and exterior. Fine stucco and mirrorwork deserve to be considered alongside the wooden frames and glass: light behaves differently on each surface. The residence belonged to a prominent urban family, and its arrangement gives a concrete sense of domestic taste. Pause between rooms to see how the decorative parts work together within the whole house.
