Kahak provides a change of setting south of Qom: a historic town in cooler mountain surroundings, with gardens and water channels alongside mud-brick quarters. The contrast with the province’s salt desert makes these features especially worth noticing. A house associated with the philosopher Mulla Sadra adds a reason to consider the town beyond its landscape. Here intellectual history is encountered at the scale of a residence. Take the built fabric and watered gardens together; their relationship gives this stop its character and a quieter pace within a Qom itinerary.
