Katale Khor Cave

Katale Khor turns a countryside excursion in Khodabandeh County into an encounter with underground scale. Limestone halls and corridors contain stalactites, stalagmites and columns, while clear water adds another feature to the cave landscape. Some sections formed on several levels, but the public route reveals only part of the larger system. Concentrate on the variety of formations and the changes between chambers rather than assuming the visit covers the whole cave. The contrast with the landscape above is a strong reason to include this stop in a Zanjan journey.
