Tabriz Bazaar
East Azerbaijan · IRAN DIGITAL WALL

Commerce gives Tabriz Bazaar its continuity. The covered lanes and trading courts are not simply a historical display: they remain part of the city’s economic and social life. Caravanserais, mosques and brick-built schools extend the bazaar beyond a place for buying goods, revealing the institutions that gathered around exchange. Tabriz’s position on east–west routes helped goods, ideas and cultures meet here over centuries. Inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage in 2010, the complex rewards attention to connections between spaces. Follow that network and the scale of the bazaar gradually becomes clear.
