Moaven al-Molk Tekyeh
Kermanshah · IRAN DIGITAL WALL

The tilework at Kermanshah’s Moaven al-Molk is a subject in its own right. Relief and seven-colour tiles bring religious narratives together with Persian kings and imagery inspired by Persepolis, creating a layered visual language within a Qajar ceremonial building. Its Hosseiniyeh, Abbasieh and Zeinabieh sections also contain museums devoted to ethnography, dress and jewellery. Move your attention from individual images to the purpose of the spaces around them. That relationship between decoration, ceremony and social life gives the visit more depth than a quick survey of colourful walls.
