Piran Waterfall

Piran is as much about the shape of its descent as the presence of water. The waterfall drops in several stages from the high cliffs of the Rijab mountains, with vertical Zagros walls establishing the scale of the scene. Orchards below bring in a contrasting landscape and make the relationship between rock and cultivated ground easier to grasp. Let your eye follow the drop from its upper stages towards that lower setting. The visit rewards this combined view of falling water, tall cliff faces and the greenery at their foot.
